Burnt Out Stars
Burnt Out Stars are poems about the extraordinary and the everyday.
They are about love lost and found: trust and betrayal, hope and fear, satisfaction and regret. These poems recognize that the line between these things is narrow, feelings are almost always messy, and the only happy endings are in fairy tales. These are poems about favorite songs, late-night movies, and painful morning hangovers. They depict fantastical landscapes one only sees in dreams and realities that are terribly, horribly, tragically real. These poems are about me, you, and everyone else who has dreamt big, loved recklessly, lost it all, given up, tried again, did better, made it worse, and kept going no matter what.
We are all in this together. We are all Burnt Out Stars.
